04-May-2015

BLACKPOOL-International Special Attractions, LTD (ISA) is proud to announce the opening of our newest production ILLUMINASIA. The attraction opened April 18, 2014 at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, England and will remain open through the end of the year.

Covering over 45,000 square feet, ILLUMINASIA is the largest indoor illuminations experience of its kind in the world, and is the first time the attraction has been presented in Europe. 56 artisans worked for 45 days, turning 35,000 LED bulbs, 27 tons of steel, and 215,000 square feet of fabric into a larger-than-life interactive production of immense proportions.

Early media and guest reactions regarding the attraction have been overwhelmingly positive, with Jonathan Simcox of The Daily Mirror saying the “first new Blackpool attraction for 20 years is spectacular” and Sean Payne of AltBlackpool exclaiming “If Blackpool needed the wow factor, Illuminasia certainly delivers.”

The opening of ILLUMINASIA received international media coverage by BBC News, The One Show, CBS, MSN, Yahoo, AOL and ITN. The attraction was even the subject of a Tweet by Academy Award Winner Jared Leto (@jaredleto) after its opening day.

Presented by ISA in association with Yi Sai Culture Communication Company (Shanghai, China) the show is open all day, every day, year round.
